DESIGN TOOL
QR Code Generator
Turn any text or URL into a downloadable, scannable QR code.
About this tool
Generate a scannable QR code from any text or URL, right in your browser — no image ever leaves your device or gets uploaded anywhere. Choose an error correction level to trade off code density against resilience to smudges or damage, then download the result as a crisp, scalable SVG.
Frequently asked questions
- What does the error correction level mean?
- Higher levels (Q, H) let a QR code still scan correctly even if part of it is damaged, dirty, or obscured — a printed logo in the middle, for example — at the cost of a denser, more complex-looking code for the same content. Level M is a solid default for most uses.
- Why did the code get denser when I typed more text?
- QR codes come in fixed "versions" with set data capacities. This tool automatically picks the smallest version that fits your text at the chosen error correction level, so longer text produces a bigger, more detailed grid.
- Is there a length limit?
- Yes — even the largest QR version has a capacity limit (a few thousand characters at low error correction, less at higher levels). Very long text will show a message explaining it doesn't fit.
