About this tool
Test a touchscreen's multi-touch support and responsiveness — touch the box with one or more fingers and each touch point is tracked live with its own colored marker, so you can check the whole surface responds evenly and multiple simultaneous touches register correctly.
Frequently asked questions
- Nothing happens when I touch the box — why?
- If "Device reports support for" shows 0 touch points, your browser/device isn't reporting touchscreen capability at all — this is expected on a regular desktop/laptop without a touchscreen or trackpad-only input, since the test relies entirely on real browser touch events.
- How many touches can this track at once?
- As many as your device and browser report simultaneously — most phones and tablets support 5 or 10, shown as "Max simultaneous touches" once you've tried a multi-finger touch.
- Can I use this with a mouse to simulate touch?
- No — this listens specifically for real touch events, not mouse clicks, so it accurately reflects a physical touchscreen's behavior rather than emulated input.
