Add Page Numbers to PDF
Stamp page numbers onto every page of a PDF, right in your browser.
About this tool
Stamps a page number onto every page of a PDF, in the position and format you choose. Everything runs locally in your browser using the open-source pdf-lib library; your file is never uploaded anywhere.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I skip numbering the first page (like a cover page)?
- Not in this version — every page gets numbered. Set "Start number" to 0 if you want the first page to read "0" instead of "1".
- What does "N" mean in the format options?
- N is the total page count — so "1 / N" on page 3 of a 10-page document reads "3 / 10".
- Are my files uploaded anywhere?
- No — everything happens entirely on your device. Nothing is sent to any server.
