About this tool
Turns any block of text into a word cloud — the more often a word appears, the bigger it's drawn. Paste an article, a speech transcript, or your own writing to instantly spot the words that dominate it. Common filler words (the, and, of, etc.) are excluded by default so the cloud highlights meaningful content.
Everything is drawn on a canvas element directly in your browser — nothing is uploaded anywhere.
Frequently asked questions
- Why did some words get left out?
- Words are placed largest-first using a spiral search for free space — if the canvas fills up before a smaller, less frequent word finds room, it's skipped rather than overlapping another word. Lowering "Max words" or shortening your text usually fits everything.
- Can I control which words are excluded?
- The "Ignore common words" option filters a built-in list of ~80 common English filler words (articles, pronouns, prepositions). There's no custom exclude list — for full control, edit your source text before pasting it in.
- Is my text uploaded anywhere?
- No — word counting and the cloud image are both generated entirely in your browser.
