About this tool
Convert a Unix timestamp (seconds since 1 January 1970 UTC) to a readable date, or the other way around. Results always show both your local time and UTC side by side, so there's no ambiguity about which timezone you're looking at.
Frequently asked questions
- Is the timestamp in seconds or milliseconds?
- The input field expects seconds, the traditional Unix format. The epoch-in-milliseconds value is shown separately in the results for convenience.
- What timezone is the result in?
- Both local time (your browser's timezone) and UTC are shown explicitly, so you don't have to guess.
- What happens with an invalid timestamp?
- Non-numeric or out-of-range values are flagged with a hint instead of showing "Invalid Date".
